Vitamin K2, also known as menaquinone, in which MK-7 is derived from synthesis and fermentation. The types of K2 include tetraene naphthoquinone (MK-4), hexaene naphthoquinone (MK-6), and heptaene naphthoquinone (MK-7). Research shows that MK-7 degradation can form MK-4.
